What this EV charging calculator does — and does not do
- Home charging cost: miles × EV efficiency × your electric rate. Time-of-use rates can make overnight charging much cheaper than the average bill rate.
- Gas comparison: miles ÷ MPG × gas price. It is a frame, not a promise — insurance, maintenance and depreciation are outside this tool.
